The Boy Knows What He Wants

This is by far the best story ever. Or at least the funniest I've heard in a long time, but exaggerations always make a better first line don't you think?
This is a story that was from the summer, but I thought it was too good not to share with everyone. A child care center in Denton, Texas recently got into trouble for letting one of their children disappear! The owner of the child care business said that the 5 year old boy has asked to go to Hooters but then slipped out the emergency exit. When the parents showed up to pick up their little boy, you must imagine the shock they found when their boy was not there.
They ended up calling the police and looking for the child across the Denton area. Where was the boy found? He was found at the Hooters across the street, no joke. After escaping from his day care prison, the boy went to a convenience store to buy a soda, then proceeded to the local Hooters, for what I imagine must have been for the wings.
What I don't understand about this story is that the boy managed to buy a soda throughout this whole ordeal. Seriously? He had enough money to buy a soda and the clerk working at the gas station didn't think anything strange about a 5 year old boy by himself buying a beverage? At least the boy knows what he wants.
